About Emily

Emily Vinkels (24) is an assistant producer for Hiking The Tide. Emily has always dreamed of making movies. Her passion was lit by a childhood filled with fantasy films. She began producing shorts during her time at Emerson College, where she worked on Give Me Eden, a finalist at the Panorama Trans and Queer Film Festival in Salem Mass, among other projects. Recently, she wrote, directed, and produced her very own film, Cat Ears, which is set to release next year. She is currently based in Connecticut. In her free time, Emily loves to upcycle clothing and attend punk and metal concerts with her friends, and of course, watch tons of anime.
